I like this styling direction, but it looks like it's targeted at the Europeans. Instead, we get the Five Hundred. :monkey:

Too bad the Fusion doesn't look more like this...

It seems to me they always build concept cars that we like and production cars that we don't....

Concept cars are always cool -- sometimes over-the-top, but cool. I like what Ford's done, but most of those design elements (save the stylized interior and unnecessary but always eye-catching gull-wing doors) have already been done. Think Acura TL...

Looks like a 6-series and an RX-8 made sweet, sweet love.

Looks more like the love child of an Acura TL and an RX-8, with gullwing doors.

At least the Ford GT and Pontiac Solstice are coming out with almost no change from the concepts. Can't wait to hijack mom's Solstice when it comes in! Domestic cars companies sure seem to follow this trend of creating an incredible concept then producing an ugly piece of crap. And they wonder why the Japs are kicking their ass in sales! I read in one of the car mags that Toyota's sales are greater than GM, Ford and Chrysler combined!
