I hope you are right. I bought my MSM before the huge price incentives, and took a pretty big hit in resale value; at least i got the 0% APR!
For about two years now, the price of used MSMs has been decimated by the fact that dealers were offering fire sale prices on brand new ones. While there are still some new MSMs on dealer lots at very good prices, the bleeding in the used MSM market may be over.
A search on E-Bay shows only one MSM for sale on the whole site. This is a huge change from 6 months ago, when there were usually about a dozen. Miata.net's classifieds have none for sale at all.
Maybe these cars have finally found their way into the hands of people who want to keep them, or maybe people are starting to realize that the NC is something of a disappointment. MSMs will never be collectible, but they're still one of the nicest Miatas ever made. Hopefully the recent price free-fall is coming to an end.

That would be the SECOND best paint choice ever lava boy! Everyone knows that HZ (Sunburst/Vivid yellow) is the best color.Originally Posted by Magma

Just this morning I was looking at Kelly's Blue Book for the value of my MSM. I purchased my 2004 new in January of 05 for $19,250 and current KBB value is at $18,950. 18 months, 20,000 miles and only $300 in deprecation. I Can't complain.
Well, I toyed with the idea of getting this local one on E-Bay with only 7700 miles, and it had a BIN of $18,400 but the bidding never got passed $12,600. I put an $11k bid in on it a few days ago, and consider going as high $16.5k to see if I could find the reserve, but then I tried to figure out what car would sit in the driveway and ended up passing.
Nope.. Titanium wins
FWIW, I hoep teh resale stays up :) Not that I plan on selling, but due to the fact that I just *had* to have mine early and didn't get all those super cool discounts.
I'm also secretly hoping they'll do all those giant discounts on the Mazdaspeed6... Town North is already at 3k off

omg, we stole my sis' 2004 msm, and she'll never give it up.
My roomate has an NC. I wouldn't say it missed the mark/marque...its just a more complete car. Its a car I could drive daily and be happy, but lacks nastiness.

I'd rock that color on a 6 wagon though.
I gotta agree with the folks saying silver is the best color. Only the correct silver is called Silverstone...
